Prior to working for Ralston Purina, the recipient served in the US Navy during WWII and was aboard the USS Navitimer 01 (46 MM) Chicago until it’s sinking in 1943 during the Battle of Rennell Island. His goal when building the movement was not only to replicate the style of the calibre ponts ronds, Superocean GMT but to create a movement with the solid construction of vintage pocket watch calibres.
